In just ten months since we launched the Shelter Map it’s generated 197,108 clickthru’s to shelter adoption pages. I can’t describe how satisfying it is to hear from users who have fallen in love with the dogs and cats they’ve found through the site and adopted. Shelters have appreciated the thousands of extra visitors viewing their adoption pages.

An extra 200,000 visitors to shelter adoption pages in ten months is good, but I think we can do better. By applying some technical knowhow and by using social networks like Facebook and Twitter, we could see the Shelter Map generating 200,000 shelter visits a month.

We’ve added a blog and a bit more info on what we’re about but our number one focus is still helping people find dogs and cats to adopt through the Shelter Map.

We also retired the old logo and icons. They were public domain and are being used by other people.
