Not in anyway reasonable - I agree that foster care should not EVER have a time limit. Perhaps this isn't the best comparison but would they put time limits on children that are in the care of foster families? (In my world my cats ARE my children)

Limiting foster care on only 3 month is not reasonable. It like limit patient to come to the doctor as he already visited him 3 month ago. No sense at all.
Everyone is different with different problems and speed of recovery animals included. I know as I adopted stray cat who was scared to see any our movements and after a year she would come for a pat. Now she is indoor cat. They need time for recover as any other patient.

I just cannot understand why they would want to do this. I wholeheartedly agree with the previous comment - Foster care should be available for all animals without time restraints.

I totally agree with vetnurse..it is totally unacceptable..there are good people out there (foster carers) and we need more of them. I am sick of politicians etc treating animals as disposable items, if they concentrated more on the puppie mill situation and the selling of animals we wouldn't have such a need for foster carers.
Foster care needs to continue.

Leave the fostering as it is at present. These angels who foster the animals and have been doing so for ever are the ones who should decide not some politicians who have probably never fostered an animal in need ever and would know nothing about giving or caring. The people who foster these animals are extra special and deserve our admiration and if they are able and happy to keep fostering get these controlling politicians to leave them alone. It seems to me that anything that is bettering the world is the first thing that they want to stuff up.

I disagree with the time limits being imposed. There are many health and behavioural conditions which could require more than 3 months for recovery. If the animal is happy, being cared for properly and the foster carer is available and willing to continue foster care, there should be no time limit on the length of time in foster care.
As for limiting foster care to juvenile animals or those needing behavioural or medical rehabilitation - this rule means many more animals will be killed due to space constraints. This is unacceptable! Foster care needs to continue to be available for all animals, regardless of circumstances.
